Character Creation

At it’s most basic, Character creation is "I am an adjective noun who verb’s!

Adjective or Character Descriptor

Your descriptor gives you some starting abilities and probably a dash of personality.

Descriptor Rules can be found here.

Noun or Character Type

Your Character Type will define your Stat Pools (see below) and your abilities. As you go up in tiers or levels, you will gain access not only to more powerful and distinct abilities, but the abilities and powers of your Focus grow as well.

Your Type also gives you a connection to the rest of the party, but we’ll get to that.

Verb or Character Focus

The character focus says something unique about your character. In the Billion years Humans, abhumans, and visitants have had to evolve, what sort of abilities did they manifest? What did tinkering with genetics, biochemistry, and nanotechnology do? Some of these – and more. If there’s something you’d like that’s not on this list talk about it and we’ll see what we can work out!

Focus rules are found here.

Stat Pools

You also have 3 stat pools, they are determined mostly by your descriptor and type.

More information on Stat Pools can be found here.

Finishing Touches

Once you have These details worked out, take a moment and look at your Connections. Your Class offers connections – a way that you know another player in the party.

Next, you get equipment. Not only will you likely start the game with a cypher or two, but you also have some Shins (money) to spend.

And lastly, you may want to familiarize yourself with some very basic gameplay concepts and a few special rules. Actually, you might want to look at these first – and then come back and make refinements to your sheet!
